What I wore: Blue is the color of summer

Lavelle Toronto

Few colors represent more summer than blue, right? Not only because we relate blue to the sky, but also because it’s a light (sometimes bright) color that blends very well with the warm weather of this time of the year.

Last week we went to an upscale pool bar brunch here in Toronto so I needed to make up a slightly higher look, but without leaving the “summer look” category, if you understand me.

My solution was to combine a blue silk cami (the perfect color for the occasion!) with denim shorts and loafers.

The silk cami makes the look tidier, but the denim short breaks the seriousness. The animal print moccasins is the piece that ties the whole look, leaving it chic but still summery.

And think about it, what other color of silk cami would make it look just the way I wanted it?

Of course I curated some pieces for you to wear more blues this summer.

This light blue blouse is perfect for very hot days. The fabric is very light and the piece loose on the body. Goes well with jeans and shorts.

By the way, this kimono It’s that key piece for summer afternoon / evening. Do you know when the temperature is not low, but we feel that typical breeze of this time of year? This kimono is what you need to protect you from the wind and at the same time elevate your look.

And what to say about these pants? This blue is for those who like to be noticed in any event. It’s beautiful, light and loose. It goes well with a top like the one in the photo (for bold women) and also with a basic white t-shirt.
