Nothing better to start the weekend than good coffee, right?
And that’s what we went to look for at Dineen Coffee Co. on Saturday morning: a good start to the weekend.
We had already tried to eat there the week before, but it was so busy that we decided to go to Sud Forno, across the street.
So we woke up early and tested our luck again.
The place is not so small, but it is, let’s say, cozy with sofas and bistro tables.
It was not empty, but at least we found a place to sit and have our coffee with ease.
I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and Cris one with normal milk. The two were delicious and, surprisingly, I drank until the end,
(There is a secret that I keep: I can not have coffee until the end. When it starts to cool I can not take it anymore, but I can not take it fast … anyway … drama drama drama)
To eat, I ordered a croissant stuffed with cheese, which is not very common here. Okay, it’s not that hard to find, but it’s not the most common, you know? Unlike Brazil, it is easier to find stuffed with something sweet, like chocolate for example.
And Cris took a chance with sweet: he asked for a photogenic croissant, stuffed with chocolate and almonds (a classic here).
To be honest, the type of food they serve there is more for that afternoon snack than for breakfast. At least in my breakfast patterns, I do not usually include sweets.
However, we know that in the afternoon it is crowded and it is very difficult to get a table. Then there is the impasse: go in the morning and eat a breakfast that does not satisfy so much or go in the afternoon but wait enough to sit?
Well, at least coffee is good at any time of the day, so if it’s your priority, you can go anytime!
